The Southern Adirondack Snowmobile Club in conjunction with area businesses and snowmobile clubs has set a date to attempt to break the Guinness Book of Worlds Record for the longest line of moving snowmobiles! The Current worlds record is 820 sleds and is held by the Roseau County Trailblazers Snowmobile Club in Roseau Minnesota. It is time the record moves back to the East Coast!

      After the Fireworks Over Sand Island last year, Tami and Aaron Miller of Final Reward Trophies and the snowmobile club, were impressed by the sheer number of sleds on the Lake and commented that it must be a world record! No one was there to measure it so it didn’t count, however after finding out what the World’s Rerecord was - It became apparent that we could break it!

      Sleds Across the Sacandaga or Snake the Lake will take place February 19th, 2006.Line up will begin at noon with the event taking place around 3pm. A small fee for a 50/50 raffle will be split between the winner and The Children’s Hospital at Albany Medical Center and the James A. Brennan Memorial Humane Society.
