December 10th 2007 Meeting Notes

- Treasurer‘s Report – Doug Sterling – We have
paid all outstanding bills for the raffle and the fish. We are still
owed
$3,390.00 for fish from our members in the contest. We need to
follow up on Dan Bowler to be sure he is paid and speak with Lou
about last
years fireworks and with Betsy about the outstanding balance for
the ads in I Love NY.
- Fireworks – Bob Campbell - Bob will get the list of sponsors
from last years fireworks from Lou at Fuel and Food. And will follow
up on co-op $ for this years fireworks. It was recommended that
we move the fireworks from Sunday to Saturday of Presidents weekend
so
as not to interfere with NASCAR. Bob will send the co-op info to
Powerhouse Motor Sports, Alpin Haus, Herba, and Harts. We will need
$5,000.00
to put on this event.
- EVENTS Committee – The events committee will
meet prior to our next meeting on January 7th with a recommendation
on which events
we should do and budget recommendations. John Ingro has agreed
to head
up this committee. Members from our October formation Are:. Dave
Dalfonso Sacandaga Publishing, John Ingro J & S Old Country
Store, Doug Sterling Edinburg Newsletter, Vic Marshal Vic’s
Tavern, Kevin Chaffe Mayfield Grille
- The Business impact study Committee – (John Ingro, Louie
Stutzke, Elizabeth Emery) The group voted on the format for the
questionnaire. We are showing increase/decrease rather than expenses
and dollar figures
by month for an accurate snapshot.
- Contests 2008 Committee – (David Huckans, James Johnson,
Lou Stutzke) Had no members present. The group has asked the committee
to have a draft of a letter ready to go outlining the contest for
us
to vote on at the January Meeting. As the Contest begins again
in the spring.
- 2007 Fishing Contest – 17 Fish have been caught so far,
all have been paid for. We are sending out the next billing at 20
fish.
We are still having difficulty collecting some of the outstanding
invoices for fish that have been caught YTD.
- 2007 Big Buck Contest – 2 Bucks have been weighed so far
one at 156 lbs. And another at 143 lbs. Contact Fullers store or
Fuel and Food for More information.
- Membership 2008 – (Carl Ward, Justine Davidson, Janice Baldwin)
will meet this month and have a report for us next month.
- The Perthshire is having a snowcross event and is expecting over
1,000 spectators February 23rd and 24th. There are great advertising
opportunities. Follow up with Sharon at www.perthshireofperth.com
The Perthshire will also be providing railhead parking in coordination
with the Fulmont snow travelers for easy access to trails and the
Lake.
- Kristie, Bob, and Betsy will be working on a nominations committee
to come up with nominations for officers by our January meeting.
- It was unanimously decided to send out our billing for 2008 this
month for payment January 1st Bob Campbell will be working with
Kristie Baily on a letter of review, Thank-you and going forward letter
to
send out to members with the bill.
