2. We also agreed to start working on our bylaws based on a copy graciously supplied by The Great Sacandaga Lake Association. Doug Steruna, Justine Davidson and Betsy Emery formed a committee to have a copy for the group to look at by the March meeting. Wally from the Fulton County Chamber of Commerce agreed to look it over and help any way possible

3. Safe Ride Program - Dave Wilty from the Stop DWI program has agreed to put us on their agenda. They are speaking with Jake Spraker and Joe Lander from the cab companies about having cabs available for the Greater Lake area. If this idwa does not work other suggestions were to contact MADD and SADD about a designated driver program, Contacting the Gloversville Transit Autority about a scheduled run, and the Senior bus.
4. Sand Island – Bob Campbell spoke with Gene Raymond and the Lake enhancement fund needs to go through a non-profit organization. As far as trash removal, we decided to do an “Adopt Sand Island” program where one business goes out to the Island and picks up each week. Schedule to be determined. As far as port-a-potties we are still in a stand still between the DEC and HRBR. We elected Bob Campbell our spokes person for HRBR, but also agree to attend The DEC Meeting at 10:00 Am in Warrensburg and the GSLA meeting at 10:00 in Northville. Issues: sand island, Navigational Buoys, Lake enhancement fund.
5. The Hudson River- Black River Regulating District will be revising the rules and regulations for permits on the Great Sacandaga Lake. From Their Web Site “The discussions will be limited to general permit matters, including work projects on permit areas, insurance for commercial permits, permit revocation, an appeal process and fireworks. The tentative agenda is on the Regulating District’s website at http://www.hrbrrd.com/rulemakingagenda.html “We were very happy with the attendance and public participation at our first meeting,” stated Glenn A. LaFave, Executive Director. “We hope to continue where we left off, and cover the general permit system rules at this meeting.” The third and fourth meetings will deal with permit eligibility issues and permit fees. These meetings will be facilitated by an independent consultant and are tentatively scheduled to begin in March. A fifth meeting will be scheduled for additional public input. People who are not able to attend these meetings can download a “Permit System Rules Revision Public Comment Form” from the Regulating District’s website at http://www.hrbrrd.com/rulespubliccommentform.html and submit their opinions. “After draft rules are prepared, we plan to hold a second round of meetings to again seek public input. We plan to hold these meetings during the summer months, so it will be more convenient for Great Sacandaga Lake permit holders to attend.” All of these meetings will be open to the public.” It has been brought to our attention that we should read these rules as the new regulation will effect all of us, and be prepared to have a representative from our group at the meeting to speak for us.
6. The Fireworks and World Record attempt have been cancelled Due to weather.

7. The ESPN Patriot Division Bass tournament will be meeting again soon. Wally will report back to us on what they need and what we can do to help.
