Meeting April 3rd , 2pm Bradt Building, Northville
1. Safe Ride Program – Joe
Lander from express Taxi offered to have a car available on the weekends
for the use of our restaurants and bars. He would need to collect a
fee up front from the businesses. In order to pay the driver he would
need $200/night. Betsy Emery agreed to work on proposing this solution
to the stop DWI program to see if we can get some funding.
2. A sub committee was formed
to work on the bi-laws. We decided to charge dues
for membership but leave meetings open to the public. The committee
is working out the details and should have a report at the April meeting.
Bob Campbell was going to look into incorporation and what is involved
to get our not for profit status.
3. Sand Island - Bob Campbell is submitting his proposal
to the HRBR regulating District and the DEC. He is formalizing the program
and the Great Sacandaga Lake advisory Council will sponsor us if the program
can run itself financially. This may be a good use of the Lake enhancement
fund.
4. Bill Lanou won the raffle $520.00 Our half of the raffle went to pay the
balance on our I Love NY Winter Guide Ad.
