a “Big Purse” fish.

3. Wallace Hart from the Fulton County Chamber
a. www.unshackleupstate.com is
opposing new legislature, to make health insurance
mandatory for employers to provide for their employees. We are opposed
to more mandates on employers that make it more expensive and more
difficult to do business in NY. It is important that you let Senator
Farley www.senatorfarley.com (
518-762-3733) and Senator Bruno www.senatorbruno.com (518)
455-3191. They insist they do NOT hear from business owners on these
issues.
b.
There will be a Meeting Thursday June 8th at the Perth Town Hall
on a 10 Year plan for Route 30. Will the road be
widened, signage etc.
c. The chamber is running out
of Sacandaga Lake maps and will be producing a new one – so
if you have information to correct, suggestions or want to be part of the map
contact Allison Swartz at the Chamber. 518-725-0614.
4. Sand Island -The
Sand Island is at a stand still now between the DEC and the APA and
HRBRRD.
5. War on the Shore at Chelsea’s was cancelled due
to lack of participation – do we want to reschedule?
6. Chowderfest is
coming up quick – Saturday June 17th from 2pm-6pm. We need
posters and contestants. Dominick is contacting someone about a chowder
table. We decided tickets would be $10.00 for adults, Kids 5 an under
FREE, Kids 4-12 $5.00, and Senior Citizens $7.00. We will have wrist
bands, hamburgers, hot dogs, clam bake, Bouncy Ride, Wizzie the Clown
and Live Music. All Proceeds will first pay for the party, then benefit
the GSLBA.
7. MAP – We
want to look into doing a map as a fundraiser for the GSLBA. We want
to contact JIMAPCO and the snowmobile club who did this before. The
idea will be for businesses to have these maps for sale at a nominal
fee. We discussed having a winter and summer map. ALSO we need GPS
Directions!
8. Another Fund Raising idea
